I was born in the Canadian Prairies in a little town called Dinsmore, where my parents joined my grandparents in farming. Today, there are probably around 400 people that make Dinsmore their hometown.
My family moved to the lower mainland in British Columbia and the family grew by 3 more! We then moved a couple of times and ended up in the interior of British Columbia. I met my husband there and after a few years and a few moves later, we ended up on Vancouver Island. There we have some space, which is really important to us and our two dogs.
I have never had the time to garden, maybe a few attempts, but not whole heartedly.
Now I have more time (well, a little more) and I do have the space for a garden. With a few trial and errors, I will make it work.
Part of the process I like is in the planning. So, that is what my first published book is about, my planning notes.
I also love to cook with various spices and herbs which inspire me to grow different varieties in the garden.
I have other hobbies like sewing and am an avid beginner in bead and wire jewelry.
I will never be bored in the so called retirement years – but, then again I never plan to retire!
