    Our scriptures have taught us that the main significance of the word Bhagawan comes from the aspect of Paramatma. What is contained in Paramatma is contained in the word Bhagawan.

    The vedas say, "Brahmaiti Param Atmaiti, Bhagavateeti Shabdyate," i.e. the Bhagawan principle is the same as Brahman or Paramatma. Bhagawan is filled with all prosperity.

    God has many names and forms. Sambharta and Bharta are two of these names of God. Sambharta is one, who creates everything taking Prakriti (nature) as the means. Bharta is one, who sustains and protects the creation. Bharta means master, sustainer, and protector.
