About this ebook

WHAT IS WINDOWS 7?
Windows 7 OS is still active until 2020, when Microsoft will officially stop supporting it technically. No wonder, even Windows XP is still in the market, and it is being used by many other cyber cafes in many parts of the world. Also, these tips and tricks work for every edition of Windows, not only Windows 7 OS.

Windows 7 For Beginners contains:

What Windows 7 is and how it is different from Windows 8 and 10.
A brief history of Windows and what to learn from it.
How to identify file types to boost your computing knowledge.
How to configure Windows to connect to the Internet.
How to work with Windows and other Microsoft application software.
How to fix common Windows errors without a computer degree.

Learning by playing with machines, the author learned by doing. He became an experienced computer expert over the years. Reading Windows 7 For Beginners introduces you to the world of computing, not only to Windows 7.

The tasks discussed in this book are still working, even on Windows 10, and they are likely to work with the latest upcoming improved versions of Windows OS.

    Abstract

On this second guide to Windows 7, my focus is the beginner. Are you new to computers or you just wanted to have the basics of computer? You are not alone. This book will help you learn the many features of your Windows 7.

In this book you will discover many features of Windows seven, such as the desktop, Start Button, taskbar, files and folders, icons and programs, Start Menu and many more. You might already know about all these features, but I suggest you try reading this simplified book to boost your knowledge about computers and Windows 7 in particular.

If you know many things about computers I suggest you order the ‘Microsoft Windows 7’ with advanced features and this book can also be found on the Amazon website in digital and hard copy versions. Thank you so much for choosing my books and I will improve my writing career because of your encouragement. Bear in mind that this book is to help you start learning about Windows seven from basics to intermediate level, but not from start to finish and this is why I recommend you order other books that are advanced after reading this book.

The first chapter of this booklet deals with the desktop items such as the icons, wallpapers, gadgets, Start Button and the Taskbar. The second chapter takes you further into what Start Button is including the Start Menu, search box, commands, links and all programs. On the third chapter you will read about file types, real files and shortcut files, and then file endings or file name extensions and how to work with files. In the fourth chapter, we will discuss about the folders, Windows Explorer, folder parts, window parts and directories – folders.

I agree that the sources of this book are mainly from the Microsoft Help and Support feature; therefore I acknowledged Microsoft’s help and support team for this book. Most of the ideas are found on the Windows Help feature of Windows Seven. To access Windows Help feature, simply left-click the Start Button icon and then on the right side, locate Help and Support link to get the tools mostly at the bottom of other items.

I thank Microsoft as the company for making my dream come true and for making the technology what it is today. The Windows Operating System is developing every time and we must learn new features in order to work with our computers as technology grows daily.
