We are all
Pushing the Ball uphill.
A lot don’t reach the top.

What do they do
With the Ball?

The lake of life expands
To the horizon. It’s vast and fake,
And hints back to the start
Where the stream sprang in a trace.
The innocence of babe
Pours into adolescent fire.
And it roars into a torrent,
