She won numerous awards including the Coty American Fashion Criti Award and the Neiman Marcus Award. Her designs can be seen at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Urbia, suburbia, exurbia, wherever you live, whatever the climate, wife-dressing should echo the Scouts’ motto, ‘Be Prepared!’
Think beyond the dressing-room mirror. Will you be away all day? All evening? Just a few hours? Is it going to rain? Get very warm? Turn cold? Are you going to be sitting down a lot? Walking your feet off? A combination of both?
In this context, wife-dressing is like a military exercise. You must develop your survival instincts and be fully prepared to meet both the expected – and the unexpected. What you’re aiming for is a combination of self-containment and mobility. You want adaptability in what you’re wearing and freedom of movement. You can have all these advantages at your fingertips by carrying a tote-bag – which I sincerely believe is the best thing that’s happened to women since the vote.
I think of my oversized pouch as a kind of conjurer’s bag full of magical tricks that help me preserve my appearance and change it at will. I always carry a small clutch bag in the tote for quick errands away from the office or to go out for
