- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5These folk tales are very familier ones to every Japanese young and old. Nicely illustrated.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Originally published in 1953 and had it's 38th printing in 1990. There are twenty stories in this collection with simple plot lines, one-dimensional characters, good versus evil and a moral lesson. Timeless childhood favorite.
