PREFACE
It all started back in 2001 while I was bored out of my mind waiting for the laundry cycle to come to an end… To pass my time I started to hum a tune in my head. And then all of a sudden I burst into song, and began to sing the words to that tune. To make sure the words that came out of my head didn’t vanish into thin air once I was done singing, I decided to take pen and paper and write down everything that escaped from my head. Once I was done, I had ended up writing a whole song. The melody and the words were stuck in my head and I just couldn’t stop singing them; even today it still holds true.
From that point on I was so hooked on lyric writing that I haven’t stopped bringing lyrics to life. It has become my obsessive passion, and I just cannot live without it. It is the medicine of my life, and is my escape from everyday life –whether good or bad– that comes to haunt me. And it is also a creative way of capturing the things that I go through in life, including all that never-ending emotion. To this day I’ve written 343 lyrics, and am not planning to stop anytime soon…
So with that said, I am proud to present to you Soundtrack of My Life: Volume 1, the first book of lyrics part of a two volume series that is written from the heart and with lots of passion. It features six lyrical sets that I’ve brought to life starting from 2001 and ending with a batch of those written in 2004. The collection of lyrics is extensive and diverse so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Most if not all of these lyrics will be very emotional, and will contain bits of me and my life. Once you begin browsing through the lyrics you will find yourself relating to the content in some way, even if it is minor. And on top of that, you’ll be left connected, affected, touched, melted, and hungry for more… I dream of these lyrics to be recorded into hit songs someday, but for the time being, read on, enjoy, and sing along to my creative passion that is the soundtrack of my life…

Walk into the club
The music’s blaring
You catch my eye
With what you’re wearing
The way you move
Across the floor
Makes me want you
More and more
Hot it’s so hot in here
My body’s burning
And I’m yearning
For your touch
Pick it up a notch
The music’s hot
And so are you
You make me sweat
What am I to do
I’m gonna faint
I need some air
So come over here
And take me there
Hot it’s so hot in here
My body’s burning
And I’m yearning
For your touch
Pick it up a notch
I come closer
Dance next to you
You’re so smooth
And I am too
Are bodies are
Synchronizing
The temperature
Is rising
Hot it’s so hot in here
My body’s burning
And I’m yearning
For your touch
Pick it up a notch
Oooh so hot
It’s getting hot in here
Ouch, so hot
Put out the fire
Cause I’ll burn
Hot it’s so hot in here
My body’s burning
And I’m yearning
For your touch
Pick it up a notch
Hot it’s so hot in here
My body’s burning
And I’m yearning
For your touch

Let It Out
(2004)
Don’t hold it inside
Let it out in the open
Got nothing to hide
Don’t shy away then
Let it out
Scream
Let it out
Dream
Let it out
Rise
Let it out
Surprise
Let out the tears
Just let them fall
Release all the fears
And stand up tall
Let it out
Scream
Let it out
Dream
Let it out
Rise
Let it out
Surprise
Unmask your emotions
Give us your pride
Show your devotions
Got nothing to hide
Let it out
Scream
Let it out
Dream
Let it out
Rise
Let it out
Surprise
Just let it out
Ooh let it out
Just let it out
Ooh let it out
Let it out
Scream
Let it out
Dream
Let it out
Rise
Let it out
Surprise
(Repeat chorus till it fades)
Diary
(2004)
Oh diary
I must confess
Oh what a mess
I’m in distress
The little golden key
I use to open the door
To a part of my life
Nobody knows
But you
Oh diary
I must confess
Oh what a mess
I’m in distress
I flip through pages
And read every word
And they sting me
Leave me torn
Awhile
Oh diary
I must confess
Oh what a mess
I’m in distress
Some of what’s there
It’s so powerful
Can’t believe it
That it happened
To me
Oh diary
I must confess
Oh what a mess
I’m in distress
It’s hard to express
How I feel right now
Only you understand
What I am going through
And that is why
I must confide
In you
Oh diary
I must confess
Oh what a mess
I’m in distress
Oh diary
Dear diary
My precious diary
I must confess
Oh what a mess
I’m in distress
Tonight
(2004)
She is wonderful tonight
Something is so right
The moon is shining bright
Her lover is inside
They’re going for a ride
On the ocean side
The air is fresh
The night is young
They’re having fun
The night don’t seem to end
Time just seems to stand
Still in the cool sand
The air is fresh
The night is young
They’re having fun
The crashing of the waves
The way that he takes
Her hand in his
It tingles
The air is fresh
The night is young
They’re having fun
Ooooooh
The air is fresh
The night is young
They’re having fun
Prisoner Of Love
(2004)
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
She is a prisoner of love
She just can’t get enough
Love seems to be an obsession
Might seem a weird confession
To make
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
She’s a prisoner of love
And it can be quite tough
To stop thinking about romance
Oh with every single chance
She gets
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
What can she do
She’s a romantic
She’s a love fanatic
What can she do
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She’s a prisoner of love
Ooh
Prisoner of love
She just can’t get enough
Hotshot
(2004)
He thought he was cool
When he got under the wheel
Didn’t know the golden rule
Not to drive with his knees
And when he did that
He was multitasking
On the cell having a chat
In his hand a cigarette resting
His mind was in space
And not on the road
Take a look at his face
And the curious crowd
Things were fine for a while
He was cruising in his car
On his face there was a smile
He was getting very far
So he thought he was a pro
He could do that all the time
And his mind was so sure
He’d never cause an auto crime
His mind was in space
And not on the road
Take a look at his face
And the curious crowd
You can see he wasn’t thinking
His life flashed before his eyes
There was no time for blinking
Only screams and painful cries
He crashed into a pole
And his car’s mashed potato
While his body is whole
His life is in pieces oh no
His mind was in space
And not on the road
Take a look at his face
And the curious crowd
Still driving with his knees
Multitasking at the wheel
