Nature’s Beautiful Palate
There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by the beauty and intrigue of Mother Nature. It is exhilarating and refreshing. It takes me away from reality, lets me escape from all of the worries and problems upon me, and makes me relax and unwind. And even when Mother Nature attacks us in an unpleasant or deadly way, it makes things interesting and more adventurous…
Not only do I love being surrounded by Mother Nature but I also enjoy writing about it a great deal. So in this section you will find poetry dedicated to Mother Nature…
~ Mother Nature ~
September 1, 2012
I want nature to surround me
With its majestic beauty
With every passing day
That comes to me
I will embrace it
Welcome it
With arms open wide
For there is nothing better
Nothing more unique
Than Mother Nature
~ Presence Of Our Mothers ~
August 23, 2011
The morning breeze
Like a mother’s touch
Embraces me with comfort
The birds’ echoing song
Like an angelic lullaby
Wafts in the air
All reminders
That our mothers are always present
No matter where we are
Or what we do
~ Clouds ~
November 17, 2010
Brush strokes filled with shades of white
Glide across a baby blue canvas
Painting a mural for all to see
Let your imagination soar up to the heavens
And open your heart and soul
To the beauty and wonder
Of Mother Nature’s artistic creation
That comes to life on this glorious day
~ Snowy Days ~
February 10, 2010
Closing my eyes,
I dive into the fluffy goodness
And drift to a special place,
Where I am a kid again
Enjoying a life filled with wonder.
It is on these days
That the silence turns to a melody
I yearn to hear;
A melody that soothes my every core
And brings with it eternal peace.
~ The Moon ~
April 10, 2010
A round ball of silver light
Hangs overhead this darkened night
Its shadow spreading all around
Where life once roamed now can’t be found
~ The Sun ~
April 6, 2010
A round ball of yellow light
Hangs up above where birds take flight
It warms the soul, brings the smiles
That last on faces all the while
~ Change Of The Season ~
April 2, 2010
The lonely tree, naked,
Exposing bitter scars,
Endured during nature’s months of hibernation,
Awakens once more
With new life.
Harsh memories washed away
By nature’s tears,
By nature’s reawakening,
As spring opens its vigorous arms,
Covering everything with new life.
~ Busy Bee ~
March 16, 2010
When the sun wakes,
The busy bee flies to work,
Spreading his seed
Wherever he lands.
When the sun goes to bed,
The busy bee flies home,
His seeds blooming,
Expanding into new life;
A life that will give birth to another,
Until all around lives again.
~ Lost Inside The Darkness ~
January 19, 2010
Awake at night,
The pale moonlight,
It beckons me to fly away
Into the darkness of the day.
I’m lost inside the mystery,
Rewriting bits of history;
The ones that faded with the day,
To make my future be okay.
~ Comforted By The Cold ~
January 19, 2010
A huggable puppy,
Red and white,
Sits beside me
On this cold night.
But I won’t embrace it.
I welcome the cold;
