ONE LAST THING ...
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to say a big thank you to the almighty God for giving me the greatest gift in life: the ability to become. And for also inspiring me to understand that there is no limit to what I can do and achieve in life.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure... As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
Marianne Williamson.
To all the people who have inspired me through their achievements and legacy of books, thank you so much.
DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to my step-mother:
MADAM VICTORIA K. NEEQUAYE.
Thank you for making room in your heart for us and sharing your life with us. As I look back to all these years, I see you have been and continue to be an angel of the Lord in our lives. May the Lord bless you with long life and good health.
PREFACE
King Solomon was the wealthiest man to have ever lived. They estimated his net worth at $2.2 trillion during his lifetime. Apart from his incredible wealth, he also possessed something particularly valuable that many wealthy people didn’t have: wisdom from God. By this wisdom, he became so sensitive to the happenings in the deep hearts of the people he had to deal with. We should not take the words of a man of such calibre for granted. His observations about life and all its various facets are worthy of the deepest meditation.
King Solomon observed four very tiny insects upon the face of the earth which are exceedingly wise: ants, spider, locusts and rock badger. The observation of wisdom that these tiny insects bring to bear, reveal their instinctive applications of certain wisdom principles. Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge, fact, or information to bring solutions to the problems that confront us. In this book, I shall take various aspects of these insects to extract the wisdom nuggets they display for our consumption.
There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise. The spider takes hold with her hands and is in kings’ palaces.
Proverbs 30:24, 28
INTRODUCTION
TEACHABILITY
Every human is born into this life with certain unique characteristics and features. Our environment and the human associations we keep determine what we become after we are born into this life. These two factors form the basis for what we hear and what we see. The environment you function in determines the outcome of your life.
Every human being comes into this life with at least one talent: obvious talent or a hidden one. Though abilities differ, a common gift we all possess is the ability to become. This is the greatest gift anyone can ever have: the ability and willingness to become. This is what I term teachability.
The journey into becoming
