About this ebook
Avirin has a dirty little secret.
She hates her office coworker - but that's no surprise. Not when Pye's tattoos and easy-going attitude clash with her pencil skirts and rigid expectations. Those strict rules help her maintain her workplace appearance so no one catches onto the truth of what she is...
A succubus, secretly scheduling the feedings she needs to survive. Imagine her shock to find Pye on her doorstep offering their services.
Avirin should refuse, but the need to feed is growing stronger...and once she gets a taste of him, she's not sure her hunger will be sated by anything less than his body against hers.

She needs to feed. And they’re late — whomever they are.
The second hand on Avirin’s watch circles again. Her teeth click together, and she fights the urge to set them on edge. She’s a busy woman. Keeps a tight schedule, and that includes any illicit forays she signs herself up for — because there’s always a sign up. A time limit, a calendar event, a list of agreements before she gets what she paid for, and everyone leaves satisfied.
It wasn’t always like this. She’d spent her college days picking people up in bars like anyone else, thinking she could control the hunger. The swelling need in her throat that spread until it consumed each of her thoughts and still wasn’t sated — at least, not until she got a hit of the only thing that truly feeds her. That trickle of life, spilling out between someone’s lips and curling deep in her lungs like smoke. But one too many blackouts and close calls in dingy club bathrooms or backseats meant she needed to get her hunger under control...for her sake, and everyone else’s.
Monstr is the safest bet: discrete and catered to creatures ‘just like you.’ She cringes every time she’s reminded. It was only by chance she’d even found the app all those months ago, drawn out of typing a furious email about the punk faerie bastard who makes her working hours hell. The selkie couple sipping saltwater tea at the table beside her murmured with an excitement that teased her attention.
Someone willing to meet them at the beach to collect their shedded skin? Showing up on the shoreline with all the necessary supplies, as simple and straightforward as food delivery. Payment was digital, and the prices were reasonable. Everything on the user interface was anonymous, all parties given the proper background checks before Monstr paired them up based on preferences. Vampires sought fresh and willing donors, werewolves hired monthly sitters, dying phoenixes found nurses waiting on them fresh from their ashes...it was a surprise no one had thought of it sooner.
Maybe Avirin’s taken it too far, trying to tame the beast inside her. But tame
isn’t the right word. More like...cage. Tie the laces too tight on every aspect of her life to make sure she doesn’t slip up: feed, work, sleep, free time...whatever that is. All the sections of her life blocked out in coordinated slots on her calendar. It’s only a natural progression for sex to follow suit, falling into the puzzle-piece place she’s carved for it without even realizing.
Her watch glints when she tilts it toward her again, reflected in the darkness outside the window. The minute hasn’t changed. A huff of air escapes, and she reaches for her phone when a knock comes at her door.
"About fucking time." The clack of her heels menace across the hardwood before she jerks her apartment door open.
A low sucking sound greets her, but it stops, the tip of a joint still fading from red embers. She takes in everything else: the inhuman yellow fuzz of skin covered in ink and mottled brown markings, antennae slicked
