About this series
She said no to a Prince - can she say no to a King?
Kathleen Kiski, a successful businesswoman in Toronto, Canada, is shocked to see her old boyfriend, Teddy Dubrienne, leading the news feed – catapulted onto the world stage when his entire family perishes in a suspicious explosion. Teddy isn't just any man—he's the third in line to the Ansulenian Throne. He was a Prince when they dated five years ago, offering her a chance to marry and be a Princess—she said no. Now he's about to become King.
Theo never planned to ascend to the throne, and not only has to deal with the devastating loss but also his mother's last request—to have Kathleen present at the funeral. In the depths of his sorrow, having Kat around would be the best medicine for his shattered heart and soul… but others are watching. Now Theo has to decide what's best for his kingdom, not necessarily for himself.
Kat doesn't see herself as worthy, not five years ago to be a Princess and definitely not now to be Queen. Except it may be just this reluctance that's needed to help a kingdom heal …
What people are saying about Running from Royalty:
4-5 stars
I'm not traditionally a reader of royal romances. I will go as far as to say I don't like reading royal romances. That's not to say I don't follow real-life royals in the news... What I got and what I wasn't prepared for was a story where my heart broke and went out to a hero I didn't even know...The main characters of Teddy, Kat, Lily, and Josef, Teddy's bodyguard/assistant, are all great. They definitely each added to the story. I wasn't expecting Sheryl to bring out so many emotions from me. There were several times where I found myself crying. -Kim Reads (Read Your Writes Book Reviews)
I really loved the way the author portrayed Teddy's raw feelings and the way Kick supported him. This is clearly a couple who are forced to make difficult decisions, while learning how to love again. Will heroine Kick be able to set aside her life and business to join Teddy on the throne? Read this entertaining book and see! - Rosanna L., Goodreads
MY STARS, What an EXCELLENT STORY THAT I HAD TO HOLD BACK TEARS! - Linda, Goodreads

It all started with me writing to express my emotions—until I realized that my words actually spoke the silent inner voice of someone else. I started getting excited about writing, and when new ideas would pop up in my mind, I realized this was meant for me: that this was my gift. I have been writing poetry since I was in middle school, and that’s when I realized I wanted to write a book and be published. I have three short stories that I wrote in high school, which I have hidden away. I am a twenty-seven-year-old from a small town in North Carolina that has a vision to one day have a book in the bookstore.
