New-Old Art stuffs
Posted 7 years agoI've been posting a couple pics from a long long time ago. Like, 14 years+ now that I had left on my old Furnation account before the site went down for the count last year. Still good just aged. A lot is from Marc Leonhart and such. They're going to be mixed in with more recent things so yeah, randomly getting around to it.
Looking to commission an animation artist.
Posted 11 years agoTo try and be short, I'm going to start making a game. It'll be a side-scrolling fighting game of an adult nature.
It'll require art assets from the ground up, other than character ideas, which I have the first notions figured out.
4 Levels with 2 zones each. Transition areas.
2 heroes, 3 types of attacks each. Each attack would have about 3 or four 'combo' steps at least.
3 enemies per level at least, maybe some alternate colors for stronger types. A miniboss for the end of the first zone, a regular boss at the end of the second level.
Enemies will have 2 types of attacks, as well as a 'dogpile' attack if the hero is being occupied by another enemy.
The programming I hope to have covered, and this would not be via flash, but through game maker. I do need an artist who's willing to continue through a long project, if I sink a few hundred on art assets, just to have an artist drop out, and have to replace all that art, that's a tone of time and money just burnt up.
Note me back if you're interested in this, thanks!

Random pony-related thought:
Posted 13 years agoAfter seeing some human-based pony pics on JohnJoseco's pony tumblr, I've come to the conclusion.
He's well mannered.
Tacit in speech.
Has supermodel mares fawning over him.
And never seen for very long at night.
Fancy Pants is Equestria's Bruce Mane / Batpony.

Google Chrome going weird?
Posted 13 years agoHas anyone else noticed weirdness when going to youtube when using Chrome?
When that bug at youtube shows up where previously watched videos come back into your subscribed vids, watching them in chrome won't get rid of them.
There's also a thing with video flickering oddly when watching movies on youtube.
Adobe says that Chrome comes with the most recent flash updates built in. But IE plays them fine and videos drop off my new subscription video list properly.
Is it just me?

Pony madness.

Posted 14 years agoSo, to those of you who've played Call of Cthulu...
Has anyone tried to comprise a Scooby-Doo themed group for that game?
In RL standards, they've already gone insane. They have a dog that they think can talk.
No other characters interact with Scooby as if he's actually speaking except for the other dog characters in the spin-offs, except maybe the celebrity movie types, and that would likely be just a bone thrown to the actor anyways to have some interaction with the star of the show.

PSP-go clone
Posted 15 years agoSo, for those who don't know, I have a roommate. My roommate has a younger brother who lives with her folks. The other day I get asked if I can take a look at his psp go that he bought off of ebay.
I don't mind checking these things out. Doing electronics research and poking around is something I like doing. Having taken this thing home, I found it's actually a PXP-2000, a chinese-made knock-off. Some features are nice, but the only gameplay it seems to have is a NES emulator that supposedly also works with gameboy & 16 bit games too. i really feel bad for him, whoever sold it, swapped the faceplate it looks like, it has a black with silver 'frame' around the screen, like a regular psp-go had.
This is pretty obvious, since when he handed it to me, I poke through it, and find in the 'games' folder some roms for 1942, 1943 and a breakout clone with an original name.
It handles some snes games. Some games load, others, like those with the 'xfx chip' or whatnot for Starfox or mario kart do not load. Sound emulation isn't very good, and it flickers/jumps a lot. To me it sounds like it's 8 bit sound, which doesn't handle 16 bit at all very well. Though it does have a good speaker otherwise, you don't need earbuds to listen to music.
By virtue of a usb cable, you can access it's 4gb internal flash and add/remove files. I dug around and found some snes roms on an old cd and popped them in, finding that the buttons, do not work right. The bottom "x" button (b on snes controllers) for snes titles is mapped to be a select button, the Square (I forget if that's y or x on an snes, the left one) does not seem to respond at all.
I told him I'll buy it off of him, and took it apart, finding soldering underneath the square button closing the button's path, not good. Haven't tested it further, that button is still non-responsive.
A youtube video I found showed another kid using them, it does have a tv-out cable, oddly enough, though it's about 4 feet long...
The video pointed out there's a firmware updater, not on my system, and I have access to this system file button he couldn't get to. So no points for being able to make the same product reliably here...
Curiously enough, it has a radio in it too. I need to find some regular earphones, some sorta requirement. Maybe it's an antennae issue.
Anyone else seen one of these things?
