Also known as BoopCat.
I'm just an average guy with weird interests and strange friends.
I'm working on a videogame project. HMU if you want to know more. :D
I have 2 twitter accounts, one social (@PAST_Dev) and one for my game projects (@PAST_Studio). I do most of my online stuff there.

2019 progress report. Restarting, but not from square 1.
So my computer died and I lost all my progress. Well, not ALL of it, but everything I had that could be shared. Which wasn't all that much really.
I'd made a fairly good character controller and some nice particle effects, some 3d models and a few animations. Nothing that, individually, I couldn't replace in a day, or a week at most. I've already partially rebuilt the controller and made a new test-bed model. As usual, the camera controller is being a pain to get working fully, but at the very least it works. I'll eventually get into the swing of things again and hammer out the full intermediate platforming controller (IE run, jump, and some simple parkour) and tweak it to where I like it again.
While loosing that progress was bad, it would have been worse if not for all my distractions keeping my progress slow and unreliable. However, those distractions themselves are projects as well. Including, but not limited to, a 2D game involving a Latios and getting force-fed, a 2D utility for generating procedural dungeon maps, a tabletop RPG system (not a program, just a set of rules) and a Homestuck tribute game that's in the very early concept stages. With so many projects going on at once, it should come as no surprise that literally none of them had seen much progress, but in turn, that also means I barely lost anything on each one.
My goal for now is mostly focused on the 2D dungeon generator, because that can be used in all the other project, and it was specifically requested by a friend. Knowing something I make will be put to use will be a particularly satisfying feeling. -w-
I'll try to remember to post screenshots if I can, so you guys can see what's up, and I can actually have some content in my gallery. Plus, this'll expose my work to a wider audience. That means more bug reports and hopefully more motivation to keep going (I just hope people don't over-obsess with my SIDE projects, or it'll have the opposite effect).
So in a nutshell, I'm having to restart my games. But the skills I've gained and things I've learned along the way are still here, so while I'm starting again, I'll be able to retrace my steps much faster than before. Plus, I'll be practicing better backup policy from now on, so if my computer dies *again* it shouldn't force me to restart a second time.
