Name's Kigai.
I'm a traditional horror/fantasy/anthro artist. Many folks would probably describe my style as semi-realism.
Thank you all again for being so welcoming and helpful, I really appreciate it!
I have a comic called Ordinary Werewolf Adventures! Support it on patreon and receive exclusive and early access to content!

Updated Terms of Service (6.7.20)

Kigai Holt's Terms of Service
Thank you for considering a commission from me!
Please read below to learn about the processes and regulations behind my work
Agreeing to a commission from me is agreeing to the following terms of service. Please read thoroughly before agreeing to a commission from me.
Things I will NOT do
1. Anti-literature/art/group pieces
-Though there are some things I disagree with in the media and the world in general, I don't want that mood to get into my gallery. Please leave anti-anything at the door.
2. Chibi, anime, or fan-art (That includes ponies).
-These styles simply do not agree with me.
Things I will do
1. Animals, anthros, were's.
-My gallery may be booming with wolf content, but I am very capable of doing other creatures as well! Please do not hesitate to ask about any species you have in mind :)
2. Humans
-I prefer to have a photo reference, or a detailed description, and please note that humans are a difficult subject for me, and it may take longer for me to finish a commission featuring one.
3. Other fantasy creatures
4. Violence and gore (moderately, and non-glorifyingly)
5. Adult artwork
-Send me a note for access to my adult account.
Payment Methods/Refund Policy
I charge full price up front on all commissions. The payment is only partially refundable depending on the progress of the commission upon ending the commission.
For example, if you were to cancel a commission that is 20% finished, you would receive an 80% refund. If you were to cancel a commission that is 75% finished, you would receive a 25% refund. The % of progress in the commission is entirely up to my discretion.
I only take transactions through Square, or by cash (Paypal has caused me too many security concerns in the past, and I will not be using it anymore). All personal information gathered from any form of payment is kept strictly confidential, and not shared with any other parties.
I am willing to discuss multiple payments, but the commission's completion will not exceed the amount paid. In general I ask that anything under $500 be made in 1 payment. And anything under $1,500 be paid within one calendar month.
Timeframe
I am currently a full time artist, but I do need to take breaks for my health. This being said, my time frame for commissions is typically much shorter these days.
On average It takes 1-4 weeks for commissions to be completed, depending on the complexity, and medium of the commission.
If you have a deadline you MUST receive the commission by (for example, a con you're attending), discuss this with me upon purchase, and we can arrange something, it will most likely require a rush fee however.
I typically work on multiple commissions at a time, on top of my regular comics and digital paintings for my other account. All the while, I will keep you up to date with any work done on your commission
Convention commissions are typically finished during the convention, or shipping is free. I will always have a cut off during the commission, in which if you commission late, I will need to charge extra for shipping. I cannot be expected to finish your commission during a convention when you've commissioned an hour before convention close. The cut-off is entirely at my own discretion.
Revisions
The earlier the better. More can be changed the earlier you ask for the changes. After the coloring phase has begun, changes are much more difficult to make (especially in traditional mediums), unless it's something very small.
Significant changes to the commission late in the game may result in additional fees at my discretion.
I will always do my best to get the commission to exactly where you want it to be. Please understand however that revisioning is a finite resource, and overusing it can lead to poorer results in the commission. Please always tell me if you want something changed, but I would recommend steering away from trying revisions for the sake of it.
Shipping
Due to the fact that my artwork is mostly traditional, you may request the original piece of work to be sent to you. This does require an extra shipping fee, as shipping the work safely (to prevent smudging and bending damage) can cost a decent amount.
Should a piece of work be left in my possession for more than 6 months, I reserve the right to sell the original. Feel free to contact me beyond the 6 months to determine whether or not the piece is still in my possession. If so, I would still be willing to send it to you for the same shipping price.
For all shipping fees, I will give you my best estimate of the cost, but the final price won't be determined until I've shipped the item. I will then charge your for that cost. If it is vastly different from what I quoted you, I will halt on shipping until I have contacted you.
Once the item is shipped, it is your responsibility to pay the shipping fee (which I will invoice you for). Failure to do so will result in your blacklisting, and I will not participate in future commissions with you.
Courtesy, and Patience is expected
Almost every commissioner I've had has been excellent to work with, but to cover my bases, I would like to mention that courtesy, and especially patience is expected. Pestering, or being overly demanding or disrespectful will destroy any inspiration behind your drawing, and if the commission were to somehow continue, it would not come out well.
In short, please be courteous, and patient when working with me. If I take longer than the time frames mentioned above, feel free to remind me, or check up on your status, things may have been pushed back for some reason. But please refrain from contacting me on a regular basis about a commission if at all possible, when I've progressed on a commission, I will contact you!
Should this policy be broken, I will have to cancel (kill) the commission. The rate of refund will be the same as above, with a maximum of 75%, even if the commission has not been started. I retain the right to keep a minimum 25% should there be disrespectful or overly demanding behavior to the point of affecting a commission.
Should you ever feel that I am taking too long on a commission, you may always ask for a refund, and per my above policies, we can discuss what that will look like.
Rights
I retain all rights to the artwork, this includes any and all electronic rights and usage. I retain the right to sell, reproduce, show, display, and in general, use the artwork as I see fit. I retain the right to sell prints of your commission to the public.
Should you wish to purchase the rights so that I may not use your work as stated above, please discuss this with me.
Without purchasing the rights, you can still post the image anywhere you'd like, edit the image as you wish, and use it as you wish. My only requirements are that wherever you may post it, you MUST:
-Credit me as the artist
-Link back to my account on FA.
You may not however, reproduce the piece for sale. Such usage for a business or for sale must be discussed with me, as legally binding contracts of rights must be made and signed for such usage.
Tagging
When assigning tags to the artwork you are posting, do NOT tag any genres that go against my above policies. This will result in a warning, and may result in black listing.
Contact Method
It is STRONGLY preferred that we communicate through Telegram. This allows me to keep very easy track of your references and our discussions. You can message me about commissions on there at [@]thatwolfguy
(Please note that this is not for casual conversation. I'm typically quite busy and repelled by small talk. Try to use this as professionally as possible, thank you.)
Final Note
Again, I've had very few instances where I've had to remind commissioners about my TOS, but they are here for a reason. Thank you very much for reading through this, and soon I hope to hear about what I can draw for you!
