Happy New Year Everyone!

First of all I just wanted to say that I hope everyone had a good break over the Christmas holidays and since it's been a while since I made a journal update here I figure I'd try to bring everyone here up to speed about where I've been at since my last post in July 2023.

Simply put I was on a very hectic convention tour going from Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, Fur-Eh in Edmonton and finally CanFurence in Ottawa one weekend after the other with 3-4 days to relax in between those flights taking me down to the states to the other side of Canada and back again and it was definitely a lot of fun to travel around and sort of get away from my own troubles at home and just forget about for a little bit and be immersed in the atmosphere of the convention with attendees around and focusing solely on conducting business and finishing sketch work sometimes on the spot for clients. However the toll of traversing back and forth from home to the airport to my hotel destination and the con venue and back three times in a row in the end was very exhausting and draining for me and as a result I went through a period of intense burnout from the end of July and also ended up getting sick after CanFurence all of which just slowed things down immensely for me.

So during my recovery I decided to take advantage of the long break from cons in the fall season to recover and slowly putting out new finished work out there as you may have seen here. There were certain commissions in my queue that I knew would take quite a considerable amount of time for me to see through to completion and often it would be a back and forth affair of maintaining my focus to see one commission through until it was done or working on other commissions to refresh my brain and not too feel stagnant. But I wanted to let you all know with the start of a new year that I am fully committed to finishing all of the commissions on my queue and I'm feeling a lot better mentally and rejuvenated compared to the con crunch time period I was in last summer so you can expect to see them completed soon as well!
