It has been a full year since my creative Blender journey reluctantly began. At one point, I was genuinely excited and happily looking forward to today. Due to some emotional hardships, this month, the struggle is real to find the words and excitement about my recent milestone. The thing is, I shouldn't let the unexpected and acts of other people take away a memorable moment for me...Heart
On July 30th of 2020, I completed my first rendering, "Pete's Hoard." A simple piece that took me roughly a week to produce and yes, bad title is bad. It ended up being a piece to be somewhat proud of for a variety of apparent reasons. The most substantial reason, however, finding a creative outlet in my dull life again. Since being a little girl, I constantly had a pencil, and paper in hand ready to carefully draw. If I wasn't drawing, my eager hands were actively giving a lump of clay new life. Over time, these were things I began doing less and less. Mostly due to the pain, these activities caused me, drawing especially. With Blender, I have the best of both drawing and sculpting in one incredible tool!
In a year's time, my artistic abilities with Blender have grown a great deal. The funny thing is, I have barely scratched the surface of the program, too! There is also the fact that I still don't know what I am doing, but somehow it all just works?! :D (Big Grin) My only wish is to get faster; it took me almost a whole month to finish this piece. Admittedly, I know the emotional hardships have not helped.
This piece has already been shared with a couple of folks, one of which questioned the lack of Mudwiggle. The idea behind this piece is to focus on Sneaky Pete and obviously the things he treasures the most.
Before finishing, I would like to give a shout-out to the following people:
Galder
MooseTheMooster
Belvane
TheRealShanBear
RemirraX
oCatnip
Enygma/Fekineejit
JaredAllen
My Dad
Without their extensive knowledge, proper guidance, creative inspiration, and genuine kindness my Blender artistic journey may have never come to be!
