Hello,
It's one thing to get punched back in the arm, have someone hide your keys or even drink all your Starbucks Frappuccino glasses when they're mad. But it's a whole other ballgame when the result of you messing with a macro is being trapped in the confines of their muzzle that desperately lacks any oral hygiene XD
Macros are normal people, just much larger. So they have to find creative ways to address things such as paying back a friend for being dumb ha-ha.
Dudley taking a dog-nap (not even a nap more like half a night's sleep cycle) after trapping his friend between his lips is not an uncommon occurrence as it's a "penalty" that makes Beardsley actually hesitate to continue being a goof-balls too much. He doesn't dare wake the larger fella up though by kicking or trying to escape, it just results in being fully deposited into the jaws of the sleepy canine. Then he'll be there for much longer.
On an artistic note, I've been refining my sketches to be able to do em' much faster now without losing any of the quality of the inked drawing. If my mindset is "this is going to be easy, let's have some fun" then it's well, easy. But if I think too much about the sketches being complicated or hard, it stunts me even placing my Apple Pencil to the screen of my IPad Mini. I'm trying to have more fun drawing with the time I have, and it's improved my output tremendously.
I have a ton of family over too at the moment, and this may be my final drawing for a while.
Thank you all so much for reading these messages, it means a ton to me and if you got a good laugh or smile then don't be afraid to let me know :D

Is this sharp nose design a style choice of yours? Aren't dog nose more or less flat (seen from the front) and resemble more of triangle with bowed lines, pointing down? Already noticed this in your submission called "forgetful folly" but didn't think much of it since you had done it differently in other pieces.
I can always count on ya for noticing those details, and yes it is a style choice of mine!
I find it easier to draw a triangle like shape at my sketch stage as it sits well on the muzzle compared to being another box. And I really like the look of the nose when inked this way. A good boopable snout is cute, so I started to make em' bigger too :D

To have such trust in friend to know you're in no real danger when they do something like this is a beautiful idea. Honestly didn't think he'd actually trap the smol in his mouth at first. But if it's the only way to get the little obnoxious shit to behave then Its all in good fun XD. But Dudley! You shouldn't put that in your mouth! You don't know where that's been!
That's what I love about their relationship too, it makes me feel fuzzy on the inside thinking about how a large dog like Duds can be ever so gentle where he can like with his only real friend.
He does what he can to get back at his little amigo, and a humid "cage" with a very not so pleasant aroma is one sure fire way to keep Beardsley from getting too off-rails XD
Ha-ha, Dudley puts many things in his mouth but not a lot of taking things out. Oh he knows Beards is a little dirty, so he's just "helping" him out by giving him a bath :D

If this is a common occurrence, he really should just offer to brush his teeth for him. It seems like a benefit for them both!
XD That sounds like a good idea, but in practice the endearing gesture from the Aussie would turn into a nagging Dudley just wanting to relish Beardsley's coat atop his slippery tongue ha-ha.
And it's funny too, Dudley would encourage his friend to heavily brush his pearly whites to tire his arms out - that way he'll be too worn out to escape whatever the Husky wants to do ;D

Aw, thank you so much for your comment! I am thankful for them, a ton :)
I quite agree with you - I think a maw would be a comfy place to rest when taking things into consideration. It would be relatively dark if the macro (in this case) has their muzzle completely closed so there's no pesky light bothering your eyes, it would be pretty quite all besides the breathing of the dog but I think that would be akin to white noise - something to help you rest, and really soft as their tongue would act as a comfy mattress albeit a wet one XD

Tbh I'd totally spend the night in a friend's mouth every night if I could. Or at least take afternoon naps in there while the friend goes about their daily tasks. This kind of thing is among my favorite sort of subject matter, considering probably half of my commissions are of me relaxing inside maws, haha
And why would one not want to spend the night in such a comfy environment, you're also perpetually close to your friend so if you ever need them just pop your head out when needed :D
Ha-ha, that sounds like a cool and funny concept I'd like to explore one day. Maybe with Dudley doing whatever he does during the day that doesn't directly involve his little friend, with him occasionally opening his muzzle a bit to allow Beardsley to get more comfortable or something :)

Thanks a ton!
A macro has to find ways to treat their smaller friends - but in this case he had to figure out a way to discipline the smaller fella XD

Dudley would gladly engage in this behavior even if you weren't necessarily doing anything wrong, just ask and he'll help ya out haha.
Just expect for him to fall asleep and then you'll definitely be stuck there, his jaws cannot be opened XD
