How's it going!
Beardsley works, well at least tries to. While he does have a giant Husky friend to basically look after, he is in no way financially strained. He's the sole inheritor of the land/estate from his family, he owns everything within a 400,000 plus acre ranch. He can afford to house his buddy, but that doesn't mean the Australian Shepherd just sits around all day doing nothing because he can. He has hobbies!
One of those hobbies during the time of year that enables him to is fishing, and given he has plenty of time he likes to use a net. Salmon runs are a joy to take part in for him and he wastes no time trying his hand at trying to scoop up as many as he can.
However despite his tenacious enthusiasm, he wasn't able to get a single one so he decided to climb out of the cold stream and take a breather away in his house. The reset giving him a much needed break and warming him up again before trying again.
Dudley the ever ravenous creature that he is, decided he could fish no problem and instead of a net made of nylon he used his giant mouf to block the stream and become one of those wide mouthed sharks on land. And success! From the time Beardsley left to coming back whatever was left of the salmon population still trying to migrate running up stream now resided in the giant Husky's cuddly abdemon. Since recently consumed, maybe they're still swimming around in there trying to figure out why everything went dark and audibly gurgling haha.
At least at this point one of them isn't hungry anymore XD
Beardsley obviously was not pleased, but the idea of bringing back up some from the Husky's digestive depths while actually super disgusting was the only compromise the Aussie could make.
The smaller doggo better like acidic foods, because an hour of whatever amount of fish Dudley decides to spit back up after stewing away for that long is definitely gonna sting the taste buds!
Next time Beardsley isn't going to leave his fishing spot for any length of period, he's not gonna let the macro Husky decimate the local salmon ecosystem with his lack of control haha.
I admit the concept for this whole drawing is pretty gross, but I thought of it at work and I thought it was funny so I had to draw it lol.

If you really want that freshly caught salmon dish and aren't afraid to make some adjustments to what you consider "fresh" then...

The small Australian Shepherd has many a times climbed upon the doughy yet taut surface that is Dudley's belly.
It's the perfect mattress to relax on and if you were to climb upon him right now the funny noises coming from within by all the vast amount of salmon still swimmin' and the Husky's system working hard to slosh them around would be hard to miss!

If they were recently consumed and he got them out immediately (or like 20-30min after or less), they'd be likely very fresh and completely untouched :D despite having gone all that way down X3

Dudley let them sit for an hour before trying to bring some back up, I'm sure whatever life was in the giant belly has gone kaput haha. Any longer and they wouldn't resemble anything close to a happy migrating salmon more like a stew, his system is pretty efficient XD

Thank you! I haven't showcased more of Beardsley's day to day really ever and this seemed like a good bit of fun to have his macro friend interrupt the smaller doggo's activities haha. Plus I've recently been having a ton of Salmon personally so it worked out :)
Aww I appreciate it, I intended just for his face to be upright all close and personal but the playful upside down canine pose came to mind and I just had to do it! He may be big, but he's still a gigantic woofer XD

For real! That river would be coming from a large body of water that runs through the property, and down into the next.
If Dudley drank enough to cause it to empty, Beardsley would have to answer to the local town and that wouldn't be fun haha.
At least Duds wouldn't be thirsty!
