RYSA WALKER is the author of the bestselling CHRONOS Files series. Timebound, the first book in the series, was the Young Adult and Grand Prize winner in the 2013 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards. The CHRONOS Files has sold nearly half a million copies since 2013 and has been translated into fourteen languages.

In addition to speculative fiction, she occasionally writes mysteries as C. Rysa Walker.

Rysa currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, two youngest sons, and a hyperactive golden retriever. When not working on the next installment in her CHRONOS Files universe, she watches shows where travelers boldly go to galaxies far away, or reads about magical creatures and superheroes from alternate timelines. She has neither the tim

The type of fantasy I would lean toward is so close to science fiction that seems like cheating to give that answer. The CHRONOS Files series has bits of historical fiction mixed in as well, so that one is equally problematic.

Aside from these, the only other genres that interest me are mystery and horror, although I'd lean more toward psychological horror than the spewing artery type. Overall, I think my interests are pretty firmly in the realm of speculative fiction--that's what I tend to read, so I'm pretty sure that's what I'll continue to write.(less)

“Some things, however, should happen in the correct order. Shoes go on after socks. Peanut butter is applied after the bread comes out of the toaster, not before. And grandchildren are born after their grandparents.”

Sorry I missed this one! You may already have seen Time's Echo by now--if not, it's the Kiernan novella I'd been promising for ages. If you haven't read it yet, wait a few days longer--it will be on sale for 99 cents starting August 14th. And then Time's Edge will be out on October 21st!

Thanks again for reading!
