Not only is this my favorite Linda Howard book, it's one of my top ten reads. I've read it several times, and it always every bit as good as reading it the first time, but the audio book took it to another level...fantastic!! For those of you who have read the book, that last emotional chapter, you know what I mean...OMG...James Alejandro Xavier Diaz...I love you, again and again and again...*swoon*!! A top ten hero!! And that epilogue...oh my heart be still...perfect!! Paperback, ebook, audio, it doesn't matter how you read it, just read it. You will not be disappointed!!

Jump my friend...JUMP!! There is soooo much good in this book and the last chapter...amazing and then a wonderful epilogue that will wash away the pain!!

Its is heart wrenching but a beautiful book. Might do a re-read. I wish I could get audio books.

Great review of one of my faves, Karla! I'm not usually a fan of audio books since I read at such a faster pace, but there have been occasional ones I enjoyed. It sounds like the audio version of this is well done. And thanks so much for the mention!

I usually listen on my commute, walking or cleaning the house, breaks it up a little. Your review nailed the books and characters perfectly!

The thing is I only discovered her recently, I did not read them when they came out originally. With the onset of Kindles and Goodreads, I have been launched into the lives of thousands of different authors that I have never seen on the bookshelves in Ireland or Belgium.
