Dolly Parton famously sang that Jolene’s beauty was beyond compare. And now yours can be too: Today, the beloved country music superstar released a line of lipsticks called Heaven’s Kiss, including a shade aptly named Jolene Red.

Parton is a beauty icon—but releasing her own line of color cosmetics is new territory for her. “I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that have a dream of glamour,” Parton told WWD. “I started creating my own little makeup things at home when I was just a kid, and I’ve been known for wearing makeup—usually too much—for years.”

Dolly Beauty Heaven’s Kiss lipstick is available in four shades, for $20 each: Rosebud, Birthday Suit, Honey Plum, and Jolene Red. “Jolene Red—if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em,” Parton jokes in a brand video. Each is scented with lychee blossom, rose petals, and vanilla orchid, notes that call back to Parton’s line of fragrances. The shades are neutral enough to wear to any nine-to-five.

“You know, even if I have a bad day or [I’m] not feeling good, if I put on my makeup, I feel so much better,” Parton says in the video. “I’ve just always been inspired by beauty. You know, you’ve got to make the most of everything you’ve got.”

The Heaven’s Kiss packaging is also unmistakably Parton. Touches of gold accentuate the rhinestone-encrusted case, and the lipstick bullet itself is embossed with the shape of a butterfly. “I’ve always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned,” Parton told WWD.

Parton’s brand says more shades of lipstick and perhaps more color cosmetics are on the way soon. The lipsticks are live now on dollybeauty.com alongside the singer’s four fragrances, which debuted in 2021.
