Angelina Jolie Makes a Dashing Arrival at the 2024 Venice Film Festival

Angelina Jolie has arrived in Italy ahead of the 81st Venice International Film Festival.

The actor, director, producer, and entrepreneur was seen out in the romantic canal-lined city this Tuesday, looking elegant in an ensemble composed of her favorite minimalist staples. The core of her look was a light beige trench coat with short folded sleeves and black buttons, from Christian Dior. She wore the transitional outerwear piece over a simply white tank and a silky black maxi skirt.

Jolie chose a fall boot to complete her easy look—namely, a black leather knee-high heeled boot featuring a twisty strap accented with a golden buckle, from Celine. Her only accessories for the day look were black sunglasses and her go-to stack of small silver hoop earrings. She wore her blonde-dyed hair down in a straight, side-parted style.

The Venice Film Festival kicks off this Wednesday, August 28, and runs through September 7. During the multiday event, Jolie is expected to attend a screening for her new film, Maria, a biographical drama about the late opera singer Maria Callas. (The actor actually uses her own singing voice in parts of the movie, while in other moments, recordings of Callas’s voice are used.)

Other stars who have already made their arrival in Italy for the star-studded film festival include Jenna Ortega and Sigourney Weaver. Meanwhile, various notable actors, including Brad Pitt and George Clooney, are set to make appearances to celebrate their upcoming film projects in the next few days.
