Kendall Jenner would feel comfortable wearing a suit to a meeting, just as much as she would wearing one to a dinner with friends. That’s what she says when we hop on the phone to discuss her new campaign for the Calvin Klein Fall 2024 womenswear collection.

In the campaign, the supermodel actually does end up wearing a suit, on the beach—which may not seem like the most practical location, but it emphasizes the message behind this latest collection, which is all about versatility.

In this latest team-up with the American fashion company—not her first—Jenner models pieces from the new Calvin Klein Studio collection. “It’s a really cool new little branch for them,” she says. “It’s basically an assortment of elevated essentials, and I feel like that’s literally my whole life. … I love to have something I can re-wear a million times over, but that still feels really elegant and elevated.”

Shot by Mert Alas, the campaign features the 818 Tequila founder sporting pieces like the aforementioned suit, as well as a black slipdress, lacy lingerie, a stylish overcoat, and more. It all feels very ’90s-chic, and Jenner’s hair is styled in a totally new way, with a choppy bob that recalls the bixie made famous by stars like Meg Ryan and Winona Ryder. “It was very, like, androgynous in a way and I loved that,” Jenner says.

In the past, Jenner has led unforgettable campaigns for Calvin Klein’s denim, athleisure, and of course, its underwear lines. “It’s such an iconic, respected brand and I really love what they do design-wise,” she says. Just this past February, the Kardashians star appeared in the label’s spring womenswear line, wearing a baby blue trench and day-to-night workwear. And for this new campaign, the pieces seem even more her.

“I kind of love that very comfortable sense of style, a little bit tomboy,” she says. “All of that really fits into my day-to-day, and I think that for me, it’s all about being comfortable.” Take one look at the model’s Instagram and you’ll see that she really can make an outfit translate from the beach to the office to the party—and this collection celebrates that fluidity.

During our conversation, Jenner confesses that it took her years to find her personal style, and says her stylist, Dani Michelle, certainly helped. “There was a learning curve for sure,” Jenner says. “But but I do believe that knowing your body type, knowing what works well on you, knowing your silhouettes … it’s really important.” She adds: “Fashion is all about expressing yourself and wearing what you love and what makes you the most comfortable.”

The takeaway she wants readers to keep in mind as they style their own looks with the new Calvin creations? “It all comes with your confidence level and the way you walk into a room and kind of your energy about it,” she says. “At the end of the day, you make it what you make it. And I think that [if] you walk into a room knowing you’re the shit, it’s gonna look cute. It’s gonna translate.”
