Lisa Panagopoulos
- Actress
Lisa Panagopoulos is an American Actress, who began her acting career in theater in Massachusetts (under the direction of the very talented Corinne Hickey) and transitioned to film/TV soon after. While not performing, she "plays the role" of a college professor at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, teaching Computer Science courses. Referring to her students as her "audience", her lecture notes as her "script", and a break in the class as "intermission", she is the embodiment of Shakespeare's poem: "All the world's a stage".
Lisa has worked on many projects, including motion pictures, television, and independent films. She was honored to have participated in the 2023 Sundance Film Festival for the screening of "Take Me Home", which was also selected to be a part of the 2023 Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour where Lisa played the family Social Worker.
Lisa's recent motion picture work includes: "Ella McKay" (20th Century Studios) and "Barron's Cove" (Mandalay Pictures). She also has worked on a variety of television projects including "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" (Amazon Studios), "Julia" (HBO Max), and "Dexter: First Blood" (Showtime), and "Modern Love" (Amazon Studios).
Lisa's independent film experience is vast, covering a wide range of genres and characters. She especially loves roles that are outside her comfort zone, such as when she was dragged into the ocean to her death while tethered to a chain in the movie: Beach Chain.
Lisa is a mom to 4 beautiful children and one son-in-law. She has taught them that in life, "it's the journey", and to embrace what each day has to bring. It is why she enjoys the acting so much. Even the audition process is fun to Lisa, regardless of whether it leads to a role or not. After all, it is part of this amazing journey that we are all on!
Lisa is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.
