- Producer
- Director
- Writer
Bob is an award winning journalist, film maker and author with approximately 20 screenplays and pilots written, more than a dozen published books and decades in broadcast journalism at the local and national level. He also has more than one podcast. Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and is a lifelong and die hard Pirates, Steelers and Penguins fan. A student of history, international news is something he has a major love for. He's traveled to 27 countries.
Of Italian-American descent he grew up in his early years on the south side of Pittsburgh in an Italian neighborhood. An amateur genealogist, he's traced his families roots back to the 1860s in central and northern Italy. His paternal grandparents came to the US in 1896 and his maternal grandfather in 1906. One of three children he always wanted to be a writer and a baseball player. He has done both and has had an accomplished radio career. He still broadcasts from the all news radio station in Los Angeles.
His passion is to see his screenplays on the big screen and is working toward turning some of the unsold features into podcasts. His passion script based on the lives of a married couple (one a burlesque queen, the other a big league ball player) will be first out of the box. It's hoped the podcast will lead to the feature film. It is an amazing story.
Bob Played semi-pro baseball during his high school years and due to a couple of injures moved forward into his radio career at age 18. He hasn't stopped since and still remains passionate about one aspect of his early baseball life; trading cards. He still buys and sells collections and at one time was considered an icon in the industry with his publication; The Brill Report. He actually sold the publication to work for a card manufacturer and later worked elsewhere in the industry. Today he does some consulting for private citizens and still buys and sells.
Bob just loves to work and lives by his own motto; "Be a student of history, not a victim of it."
