Born Blackpool 1941. As a young man played in local theatre in Liverpool in The Gazebo, The Private Ear and The Public Eye,and Your Obedient Servant amongst others. In 1967 appeared in the short comedy The Man Who Made A Pig Of Himself(as Mr.Pigg) and was an extra in Gumshoe. First radio broadcast on the 5 till 6 show on Radio Merseyside the same year, talking about kids matinees with Ramsey Campbell. Compered talent shows, mother and baby contests ,fashion shows and cabaret at over 100 Ideal Home Exhibitions. Numerous radio broadcasts about movies on various national and local radio stations, including 'movie sequels'(James H Reeve BBC Radio Manchester, The Excorcist(BBC Radio Five Live), various obituaries on BBC Radio Leeds, and many more, notably as contributor and researcher to The Childrens Film Foundation on BBC Radio Four with Susan George and Keith Chegwin,described as 'evocative' by the Guardian newspaper, and The Radio 2 History of Comedy,a four part series. On TV ,a dozen appearances on the live programme Open Air(BBC 2) and the spin off For What We are About To Receive,about the deregulation of TV. Also involved in Social Engineering in the Soaps a BBC community TV programme about people making real life decisions based on soap operas. On film, many years of extra work in many films including Chariots Of Fire, The True Story Of Robin Hood, Prime Suspect and Underbelly. Returned to acting in the short comedy about bingo Its Only A Number and the feature film Monstrum(2014) directed by Jonathon Kemp
