John Rozelle(II)
- Actor
John Rozelle was born on September 25, 1976, in Houston, Texas. He was raised in an educated, entertainment driven home. Early in life, he moved to New York where he attended acting school. He attended Upright Citizen's Brigade under the direction of Allan McCloud and Brian Frankenstein. Other schools include: The Playhouse West (under Tony Randall) and The Actors Company (with Daniel Probert and Joe Salazar).
Although he enjoys all genres of music, John admits his first love of music was surprisingly Country, which he was introduced to by his grandfather. He later developed a love for both R&B and Pop music. This music appreciation is what led to his passion for drawing, poetry and writing music.
When John was just 8 years old, he had the pleasure of meeting The Jacksons during Victory Tour. From that moment there was a great friendship created and he became hooked on the industry. He knew entertainment was the path he must follow. In the beginning of his entertainment journey, John could be seen competing at local talent shows throughout Houston and New York. He was also known for performing at block parties, house parties, performing art centers and community centers, anything that would allow him to express himself and share his gift with others.
John found inspiration all around him but most significantly he recalls a friendship that was created early in his life with Darryl "GI" Jackson from the group H -Town in 1987. He will always hold near and dear to his heart. Also, notably around this time, is when all the external influences started to take form and could be seen in his writing and love of music during the Jack the Rapper Era where he had the opportunity to meet Jodeci for the first time. John's extensive resume includes background dancing and singing with another friend Corey aka Sub-0, and Jesse Powell. John still cherishes their friendship. He also developed long lasting relationships with Eddie Williams and Tupac Shakur where he learned how to properly evolve his gift for writing music and composing poetry.
In 2000, John moved to Los Angeles to focus on his acting career that he felt was the next natural progression for his career path. His first exposure came from doing extra work for Nike and also the show, Six Feet Under and Moesha. As of today, John can be seen in his latest film, Last Three Days.
