Based on writer-director Michael Paradies Shoob's experiences driving a cab in Los Angeles, DRIVEN tells the turbulent stories of three cab drivers (Tony Todd, Daniel Roebuck and Whip Hubley) working for the upstart Red Star Cab Company as they fight for fares on the mean streets of LA during the Christmas holidays. When fabled Yellow Cab goes out of business, all of the "rules of engagement" are out the window, LA is a free-for-all for cab drivers to make as much money as they possibly can. But heads explode in anger and frustration when blonde, baby-faced LeGrand arrives from Yellow. Who is he? A naive "cheese-faced" innocent? A deliberate button-pusher? Or is he an Angel who has come to finally make their elusive dreams come true.
