Bronwyn, Charlie, and Ben set off to find a whale. Out at sea, Charlie and Ben compete with each other on their sea-faring skills. When Bronwyn finally spots a whale, Charlie and Ben's dispute causes everyone to fall overboard. When the whale watchers haven't returned, Fireman Sam races to the rescue in Juno, as Elvis and Penny use the new sonar equipment on Neptune to locate them.

Mandy is excited to try flying in a hot air balloon. Before she gets the chance, Lambikins wanders into the balloon's basket and eats through the tethering rope. Soon, Fireman Sam is getting puzzling calls about a rather large creature that is going through town eating things.

Norman, directing his first movie up in the snowy mountains, accidentally starts an avalanche. Norman, Mandy, and Sarah run to take shelter in a hut, which becomes partially buried in snow and traps them inside. By following Sarah's transceiver , Fireman Sam and his team find and rescue the kids. Norman, using footage from the avalanche, screens his scariest monster movie ever!

Pontypandy's go-kart race is speeding up. Mike and Joe nostalgically enter the race and end up competing against each other to make the best kart. When Joe's Hover-Kart steering malfunctions, he shoots over the end of the quay and heads out to sea! Fireman Sam, Ben and Penny ride the waves to the rescue.

The Pontypandy Pioneers get stuck up in a treehouse which is on the verge of collapsing thanks to Norman's hasty actions.

Norman and Derek are both trying to get into The Gwyneth Book of Records. When Norman's tower of baked bean cans is knocked flying by Derek's speeding bathtub, Norman finds himself dangling precariously from the bridge. After he's rescued, Norman is disappointed to learn he hasn't broken the record for bridge dangling. But, he has broken another record!

A fire is caused by a glass bottle being left in the sunshine and people are trapped on the edge of cliff.

Thanks to Norman's trickery, Moose falls down a ravine and gets stuck between two rocks. Meanwhile, Elvis is determined to lose his job so that Penny won't.

Mandy misses her boat ride with Fireman Sam to see a large turtle. Sam and his team attach a camera to the turtle for future study. Mandy takes a row boat with Norman so they can find the turtle themselves. Soon, they're lost at sea. Sam is watching the turtle cam and sees Mandy and Norman struggling. The team rescues Norman and Mandy just before their boat crashes into the rocks!

Norman and James are on a treasure hunt - following a map that belonged to the pirate Pontypandy Pete. Ignoring directions, Norman and James head off the path into the fog. When Norman hears a fog horn, he thinks it's the pirate's ghost ship. Scared, he runs and becomes lost in the fog with rising water at his feet. Sam, Penny, and Elvis set sail through the fog and rocks to rescue Norman.

On a trip up Pontypandy Mountain, Sarah and Lily start feeding a little sheep...even though they're not supposed to. While the girls feed the little sheep, their tour group wanders off without them. Lily and Sarah get lost trying to find the group. Noticing that Lily and Sarah are missing, the group calls in the emergency. It's Fireman Sam, Tom Thomas, and a little sheep come to the rescue.

On the day of the contest to find Pontypandy's Most Talented Pet, Radar comes to the rescue of his fellow animal friends when a fire breaks out at the Wholefish Cafe.

A simple game of hide and seek takes a disastrous turn when Norman Price gets ants in his pants.

When Mandy and her friends set off to see their favorite boy band - One Way Street - Trevor's bus gets stuck in snow. They won't be defeated by a little bit of snow and set off walking. When Mandy rushes to what she thinks will be a shortcut, she ends up sliding down an icy slope and falls off a ledge. Fireman Sam and the team rescue Mandy and her friends and get them to the concert in time.

Fireman Sam has the starring role in a play about the pirate Pontypandy Pete. Norman and Hannah decorate the prop ship. As they can't agree, Hannah suggests they each decorate half of the ship. Norman weighs down his side causing the ship to lose balance. The ship moves and falls into the Quay, quickly filling with water. Sam rescues Hannah and Norman just as the ship sinks under the water.

Mandy wants to give her mother her dream garden with the help of her friends. Unfortunately, a runaway petrol lawnmower and bags of fertilizer result in a call to the Pontypandy fire station.

Norman is playing superheroes with James. Norman is Norman-Man & James is his sidekick Atomic Boy. When they have a real rescue, it goes all wrong. It's Norman-man that needs saving. Atomic Boy is no longer happy being a sidekick... he wants to be the superhero and has the gadgets to prove it! Norman-Man & Atomic Boy misuse the gadgets and mayhem ensues...until Fireman Sam and his team save the day.
