When she was diagnosed with cancer of the appendix in 1992, Audrey Hepburn showed true grace. In People’s new cover story about the iconic star’s private world, her friends and family reveal that in her final days, Hepburn thought more about her loved ones than she did about herself and her illness.
“The doctors gave her three months to live. She acknowledged being afraid of the pain but not being afraid of dying,” says her longtime partner Robert Wolders.
Wolders says Hepburn wanted to spend her last Christmas at their home in Switzerland, but getting there proved to be difficult given her fragile health,...

I've got a trailer here for a new horror thriller starring Katee Sackhoff (Oculus, Riddick, Battlestar Galactica) called Don't Knock Twice. This looks like it could be a fun and creepy horror movie as it deals with a vengeful demonic shape-shifting witch who is out for blood. Here's the synopsis:
“Knock once to wake her from her bed, twice to raise her from the dead…” So goes a disturbing urban legend involving an abandoned house supposedly inhabited by a vengeful, child-stealing witch. When troubled teen Chloe (Lucy Boynton) raps at the door one night, she has no idea the horror she’s about to unleash. Fleeing to the country home of her estranged mother (Katee Sackhoff)—a recovering addict who’s turned her life around to become a famous artist—Chloe must learn to trust the woman who gave her up years ago in order to stop the bloodthirsty, shape-shifting demon stalking them.

The fifth Pirates of the Carribbean film in Disney’s cash-cow franchise could be a reboot. The news comes from an interview IGN did with Orlando Bloom. Earlier this year the actor revealed that he has been in talks with the studio to reprise his role as Will Turner. There’s no official word on if that’s actually the case or not, but when asked about Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales he said:
“I’m not entirely sure that [I'll be back] just yet, but there are talks. Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son… I’m of course Davey Jones now, so I’m down the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I’m rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won’t look anything like me.

Disney is almost done casting the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. The studio is looking to cast the female lead and they've narrowed their search down to five actress including Kaya Scodelaria (Skins, The Maze Runner) and Gabriella Wilde (Endless Love, Carrie).
Also on the list are Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter, Ballet Shoes), Alexandra Dowling (Hammer of the Gods, “The Musketeers”), and Jenna Thiam (Vie sauvage, “The Returned”). The details of this role are being kept under wraps, but sources suggest that the actress who is cast will play the love interest of Brenton Thwaites, who will play a British soldier. (Especially because Disney is running chemistry tests between said actresses and Thwaites this week.)
Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Jack Sparrow, and Javier Bardem is onboard to play the villain. Although unconfirmed, there are also rumors that Orlando Bloom will return as William Turner.

15 year old newcomer, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, leads the cast in Sing Street, the third music-themed feature film from director John Carney, who's previous films include Once and Begin Again.
Talented singer Ferdia, from Wicklow, who has his own band in reality, stars as 14 year old musician Cosmo.
Sing Street has been described as ‘a semi-autobiographical tale inspired by the filmmaker’s love of music’. Set in 1980s recession-ridden Dublin, it tells the story of a fourteen year old named Cosmo who finds life at home difficult. He decides to form a band with school mates, whom he writes songs and shoots videos with. When family trouble strikes, he runs away to London with his fifteen year old girlfriend who aspires to be a model.
20 year old Lucy Boynton (represented by United Agents), who previously starred in the BBC's Ballet Shoes and more recently Canal+'s The Borgias co-stars as Raphina, his girlfriend.

But if you don't already love her after all of that, Digital Spy has waved its magic wand over the internet to try to come up with some lesser-known facts that will increase your love for Emma to stratospheric levels.
1. Born Emma Charlotte Deurre Watson on April 15, 1990, Emma did most of her growing up in Oxfordshire. However, she was actually born in Paris while her lawyer parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watsonwere working in the French capital. It was only at the age of 5 that she moved to England after her parents' divorce,...

Sydney, July 19: Emma Watson has said that she tries to make her movie choices from the heart.
The 23-year-old actress said that her decisions are based on what she loves and identifies with, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
She said that she is still studying, so she'd rather do something because it will look good.
So far her decision has meant the she has not done any more wizard films after 'Harry Potter.'
Her first non-wizarding movie role was in a TV adaptation of Noel Streatfeild's classic 'Ballet Shoes,' since then she has starred in 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower,' where her role was of a arty high-school.

Former Hogwarts alumni in line for two new films: Watson for Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella and Radcliffe for Frankenstein
Harry Potter alumni Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe are lining up leading roles in two new versions of well-known tales: Cinderella and Frankenstein respectively.
Watson, fresh from the well-liked teen flick The Perks of Being a Wallflower, is being courted for Disney's live-action version of the Cinderella fairy story, to be directed by Kenneth Branagh.
Watson, 22, had a somewhat tentative start to her post-Potter acting career, taking on a TV movie of Noel Streatfeild's Ballet Shoes and a small role in My Week With Marilyn as she appeared to concentrate more on fashion-related work. But the success of Perks has seen her sign up to more substantial projects: she has a leading role in Sofia Coppola's celeb-thief drama The Bling Ring, plays herself opposite James Franco in Evan Goldberg...

Chicago – We’re back with another DVD Round-up of recently released titles that may catch your attention when you’re browsing the DVD store this week. (Do they still have DVD stores?) This time, read this entire piece aloud in a British accent. Once again, these round-ups are designed as informative, to let you know about releases that might not get as much attention and what special features to expect if you pick them up. Having said that, this is a particularly strong round-up. Ricky Gervais, Camelot, and dinosaurs? You really can’t go wrong with any of these choices.
All three titles were released on January 10th, 2012.

With all the hype surrounding Michelle Williams’s turn as Marilyn Monroe in "My Week With Marilyn," you’d be forgiven for forgetting that the film marks a turning point for another actress in the project. With her first on-screen role since wrapping the "Harry Potter" series, Emma Watson makes the leap from the franchise that won her fame and fortune.
Is this the start of a burgeoning career for the young British beauty? For Watson, that all depends on how she plays the game.
In "Marilyn," Watson turns in a charming performance as a costume girl on set of "The Prince and the Showgirl"; she falls for Colin Clark, an ambitious assistant on set. The role is small and doesn't offer Watson much to do other than play scorned when Clark sets his sights on Monroe, but Watson carries the bit part off with relative ease and leaves a good,...

Kenneth Branagh‘s first post-Thor project, Ballet Shoes, was only announced around a month ago, but Variety already has the drop on major casting. As they report, both Anthony Hopkins — who had a central part in Branagh‘s superhero film — and Judi Dench — who co-stars with the director in My Week with Marilyn — are negotiating for the leads in the adaptation of Henning Mankell‘s novel.
Hopkins would have the role of “an elderly man — a former surgeon — who is reunited with an old flame whom he had abandoned many years ago.” (Dench, as I assume you’ve already gathered, would be this former lover.) When news of her terminal cancer comes to light, he must “fulfill a promise that he made to her nearly 40 years ago — to take her to a pool in the middle of the northern forests where he had spent a day with his father when he was young.

The final Harry Potter film hasn't even been released yet, but Emma Watson's post-Potter career is already proving to be -- if you'll indulge my British compulsions a moment -- a smashing success. Prior to now, the only acting she's done outside of the Harry Potter series is some voice work in The Tale of Despereaux and a TV movie in the UK titled Ballet Shoes. That'll soon change in the coming years though, as she's playing a vital role [1] in the upcoming My Week With Marilyn (which stars Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe). She's also the top contender to take on the role of Claudia [2] in Fox's adaptation of Catherine Fisher’s teen fantasy/sci-fi novel Incarceron (which has Taylor Lautner attached to star). Now there's another film to add to the list: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, based on Stephen Chbosky's novel of the same name.

Merlin, starring Colin Morgan, Bradley James and Anthony Head, returns for a third season on Syfy beginning Friday, January 7, at 10Pm (Et/Pt).
Few shows have had the sort of rough history that Merlin has had to survive, including the simple lack of attention, and fewer still are as fun and wild. Somewhere in the general category of such things as Hercules, Robin Hood, and Legend of the Seeker, Merlin finds us tagging along with the earlier versions of our Camelot legends. Uther is alive, and has outlawed magic, and Merlin is Arthur's squire-come-houseboy who has to somehow perfect his abilities without being able to use them openly. We have to get from there to the days that rise to mythic stature (so I guess we know who isn't going to die), all the while doing battle with a variety of beasts and baddies.

With Daniel Radcliffe’s turn in Hammer’s The Woman in Black getting a lot of attention at the moment and as the dust settles after the juggernaut of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 rolls through town the spotlight is now fixed on another of the main cast.
Emma Watson took a role in the 2007 UK TV adaptation of Noel Streatfeild’s novel Ballet Shoes and in her first role post Potter (although they are still wrapping up reshoots on the second part of the final film) sees Watson take a role in Simon Curtis’ big screen version of My Week with Marilyn.
In the picture below, which was secreted between some other showbiz stories by the Mail’s Baz Bamigboye, Watson is seen playing opposite Eddie Redmayne as Lucy, a wardrobe assistant on the film The Prince and the Showgirl, the making of which acts as the film’s backdrop.

Emma Watson believes there could be something more between Hermione and Harry. The "Ballet Shoes" beauty shared her opinion on the matter when asked about the subtext of the dancing in the tent scene between her character and Daniel Radcliffe during a junket for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" in London.
"The way that Dan and I played it was there was the possibility there could be something else between Hermione and Harry," the 20-year-old said. "If you spend that period of time with one person alone on the road and you don't know when you're going to see anyone else again, I dunno, I feel like maybe there could have been something there, but not really from Hermione's end."
Although she thinks the scene offers more than just a moment between friends, the actress who voiced Princess Pea in "The Tale of Despereaux" did note that...

As "Harry Potter" film franchise is going to end with "Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows", Emma Watson has begun looking for her new starring vehicle. According to Variety, the British star is now circling "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". She will possibly team up with Logan Lerman as he is reportedly also in talks to take a lead role in this upcoming drama, but the characters that might be tackled by the two are not yet known.
Despite the big names mentioned as contenders for the cast, the movie itself is planned to be a low-budget indie production. Directed and written by Stephen Chbosky, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is based on Stephen Chbosky's 1999 novel of the same title which tells the story of a shy and unpopular teenager who describes his life by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person and explores the awkward times of adolescence,...

London -- He commissioned such projects as Peter Bowker's "Occupation," "Ballet Shoes" and "Murphy's Law" for the BBC. Now, BBC Northern Ireland drama head Patrick Spence is setting up his own production shop within U.K. drama house Tiger Aspect, opening up for business in mid-July.
Spence, who exec-produced the Sundance director and screenplay winner "Five Minutes of Heaven," and has worked on a slew of BBC primetime crime procedurals including "Silent Witness," "Waking The Dead," and "Messiah," will work with the Endemol-owned British indie to develop specialist and mainstream drama.
He will work with Tiger Aspect's head of drama Greg Brenman, launching his own label within Tiger Aspect supported by the indie's production and back-office resource.
"Patrick has shown time and again that he is a great champion and producer of talent," said Brenman, who worked extensively with Spence when he was at the BBC.

"Harry Potter" star Emma Watson is single again after reportedly splitting from her longterm boyfriend. The 19-year-old British actress has been dating 28-year-old financier Jay Barrymore since 2008, but is now said to have ended the relationship just months after she moved to the U.S. to study at Brown University, Rhode Island.
A source tells British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, "Emma and Jay were in trouble for months and with Emma at Brown University in America, the transatlantic gap proved too much for their relationship to survive."
Professionally, Emma Watson rose to fame when she portrays Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". She was cast in the wizards film when she was 11 years old. Beside playing in the movie series, Emma has also played in "Ballet Shoes" and lent her voice for "The Tale of Despereaux".

She’s off to see the wizard!
Well, not quite, but Frannie was certainly wearing the right footwear to ‘follow the yellow brick road’ while hanging with dad, actor Jason Bateman, at The Lumberyard in Malibu on Feb. 20.
The adorable 3-year-old wore a cute grey and white checked tunic and grey leggings paired with super sparkly red ballet flats. And boy, do they pop!
After a quick search, we discovered her shoes are Circo’s Adelaide Glitter Ballet Shoes.
And at only $13, not only are these fab ruby slippers fit for a princess, they’re totally affordable!
