Exclusive Updated: Drop Dead Diva lives! A month and a half after Lifetime cancelled the dramedy series, I’ve learned that the cable network has inked a deal with producer Sony Pictures TV to bring the show back for a fifth season. At the time of the cancellation, Lifetime insiders noted that that they were open to reconsidering the decision if Sony TV came up with a new financial model. After weeks of talks, I hear the two sides found a framework that made continuing Drop Dead Diva feasible for both of them. The fifth-season pickup comes almost six months after Drop Dead Diva‘s fourth season wrapped its run on Lifetime. The dramedy, starring Brooke Elliott as a dead aspiring model trapped in the body of an intelligent, curvy lawyer, was one of two scripted series Nancy Dubuc inherited when she took over Lifetime in 2010, along with veteran drama Army Wives,...

Holy Motors I don't know how many of the people that included Leos Carax's Holy Motors on their year end top ten were doing it to seem hip or actually, truly loved it, but I remain unconvinced that anyone can separate this movie from any other nutty, "what the hell?" movie that hits cinema screens each year. That isn't to say it's a bad film, in fact it was one of the more entertaining when it came to post-screening conversation in Cannes last year, but best of the year? Eh, I guess that depends on how you qualify such a status. I determine my year end best by those movies I want, and have a desire, to watch again. Holy Motors doesn't fit in that category, but I suggest all of you at least give it a watch to see what you get out of it. You can read...

Jennifer Love Hewitt may have told Access Hollywood that "The Client List" fans could start to root for Riley's recently returned husband, Kyle, when Season 2 returns next month on Lifetime, but Colin Egglesfield, who plays his brother, and love rival Evan, thinks differently.
"Hmmm," he contemplated when Access brought up Jennifer's recent comments, when we caught up with him backstage at the Independent Spirit Awards Gift Lounge on Saturday in Santa Monica. "No they're not. Anyone who leaves their wife and their kids and takes off for a year? How can you sympathize with that?

Sneak Peek new Season 2 images and video of actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, who has confirmed that her 'massage parlor' series "The Client List" will return to Lifetime, March 10, 2013.
"There’s a lot of danger, a lot of intrigue, a lot of sexiness," said Love Hewitt about the upcoming season's 15 new episodes.
Based on the 2010 TV film of the same name, the series follows 'Riley Parks' (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who begins work in a day spa in a local town after her husband abandons her and their children, leaving her in financial debt. She quickly realizes that the spa gives much more than massages, but works with the parlor's owner in order to keep food on the table. While helping to run the business, she struggles to discreetly balance two lives – a single mother who must provide for her family and a strong businesswoman working in a 'unique' sex-for-hire business.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is in the best shape of her life, and what better way to show off her hard work than posing for the cover of Shape magazine's March 2013 issue?
The 33-year-old star rocks a pink and white bikini on the magazine's cover, and though she's long been known as a sex symbol, even she has struggled with her weight. The "Client List" star opened up to the magazine about those unflattering photos of herself in a bikini taken back in 2007, which prompted the actress to defend herself after she was called fat.
“A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be,” Hewitt wrote on her website after the photos went viral. “And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful.”
Hewitt told Shape that comments about her body hurt her feelings, but admits at the time she wasn't going to the gym or eating properly.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is reaffirming that she's "a woman ... W-o-m-a-n."
Little doubt is left by her striptease to the song made famous 50 years ago by Peggy Lee, in a video promoting the Season 2 premiere of Hewitt's Lifetime series "The Client List" Sunday, March 10. The actress-producer also croons the tune, and it's not her first time on that performance route: She did similar gyrating last year in a "Client List" promo in which she sang the "Sweet Charity" number "Big Spender."
"It's exactly what I hoped for," Hewitt tells Zap2it of the response the ads have generated. "Both of them have been based on a little dream I had of what we should do, and we had the help of [director-photographer] Matthew Rolston and Randy Jackson this time, which was just awesome. I don't think I've ever had as much fun as I did that day, and we've absolutely loved the reaction.

James Wolk has joined the cast of The Crazy Ones, the David E. Kelley-written comedy about father-daughter advertising agency starring Robin Williams. I'm sorry James Wolk fans. Maybe David E. Kelley is past his self-parody stage?
Deadline reports that Miranda Otto has joined the cast of Rake, the Fox drama pilot that also stars Greg Kinnear as a "frustratingly charming" criminal defense lawyer. You know what this means, we'll be watching looking for the chance to yell "She is no man!" at the TV.
Fox's comedy pilot about a group of New York detectives has just added Stephanie Beatriz, according to The Hollywood Reporter. You'll probably recognize Beatirz for her recent Modern Family role (where she played Gloria's sister). The pilot also stars Andy Samberg and comes from Parks & Recreation's producers. This just keeps sounding better.

Few people can look at Jennifer Love Hewitt and say she isn’t a fine example of sexiness in television. Her starring role on Lifetime’s The Client List has been a highlight in the last year, for reasons that should be obvious for a series about a day spa that gives its customers a little extra work, if you know what I mean. And the way they promote the show is admirable. The Client List is all about sex appeal and there is no better way to sell the new season than to throw Hewitt into a saucy music video and have her dance and sing like she’s got nothing to lose.
The video for “I’m a Woman” can be found down below and shouldn’t surprise anyone with its overly sexualized portrayal of Hewitt. She dances around in practically nothing while men in suits surround her.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has a new music video for "The Client List's" second season, and it might even be racier than last year's "Big Spender" Season 1 promo.
The video above features a scantily-clad Hewitt singing the '60s hit "I'm A Woman" in the rain while bumping and grinding with a gaggle of male dancers atop a giant lighted sign that reads "W.O.M.A.N."
On "The Client List," Hewitt plays a single mom named Riley who starts working at a day spa that offers more than just massages after she's left with financial debt when her husband abandons her and her children.
Hewitt spoke with HuffPost TV about the role and its risque subject matter last year. "The provocative, edgy stuff is for the provocative, edginess of it all and that the character really is just a single Texas mom trying to do the best that she can.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Lifetime series The Client List returns March 10, and once again, she’s promoting the show with a sexy music video. This time, the “BareNaked” singer belts out “I’m a Woman” clothed in fringed lingerie. The track was produced by Randy Jackson, the video directed by Matthew Rolston, and the moves, we assume, inspired by Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera (circa Burlesque), and Channing Tatum’s spinning dubstep Magic Mike routine combined with the wet Flashdance number. Whetting fans' appetites for the show's second season, a snippet of a music video from "The Client List" starring Jennifer Love Hewitt was released on Monday (February 4).
The sexy video features the 33-year-old actress singing and strutting her stuff in some skimpy lingerie. Speaking about the concept to Entertainment Tonight, the Heartbreakers star explains, "I had a dream about it in the middle of the night." Professing her love for the song, "I'm a Woman" from the Broadway play "Smokey Joe's Cafe," Jennifer adds that she had to do something burlesque-oriented "to shake things up a bit."
In the Lifetime series, Ms. Hewitt plays a Texas single mother who secretly also provides sexual favors for money at a day spa.
Though it may be a bit controversial, she shares, "I feel like we've been able to take an unconventional story line and make it female empowerment in some weird way.

The actress plays a single mom turned high-end prostitute on the Lifetime series, and was spotted rocking a very low-cut white dress, paired with some black boots so that she could film a running scene. The actress later changed into some sky-high heels for another shot, which would have proved much more difficult to run in.
Fans of the 33-year-old are about to see even more of Hewitt as she's taking it all off for the show. According to the U.K. paper The Sun, Hewitt will strip nude on camera -- though execs at Lifetime will be forced to blur her intimate parts.
How does Jennifer stack up in the battle of celebrity cleavage?...

Catherine Bell is noting the difference on the "Army Wives" set without fellow founding cast member Kim Delaney.
After making reduced appearances during Season 6 of the Lifetime drama series, Delaney is not returning as military spouse Claudia Joy Holden in Season 7, which begins Sunday, March 10. The character's absence reportedly is explained early on, and Bell -- who plays nurse practitioner Denise Sherwood -- acknowledges her continuing the show minus longtime colleague Delaney.
"We certainly do miss her," Bell tells Zap2it. "She's a great lady, but things happen and things change. It's just part of our industry."
After debuting on "Army Wives" last season, Kelli Williams is now a full-fledged co-star, and the show is getting an influx of new cast members. Brooke Shields will enter midway through the 13-episode run as an Air Force pilot; singer-actors Ashanti and Jesse McCartney, Torrey DeVitto ("The Vampire Diaries," "Pretty Little Liars") and...

In a surprising development, Lifetime has cancelled Drop Dead Diva. Deadline speculates, that the decision might have come out of a desire to pursue more "edgy" fare at Lifetime — you know, like The Client List. Wait, does "edgy" mean getting hot male guest-stars undressed under flimsy excuses? That's a pretty compelling argument for Lifetime getting more "edgy." Too bad we won't find out where Drop Dead Diva would go from where it left off.
TNT has ordered a pilot starring Rebecca Romijn and Jon Tenney of The Closer and Major Crimes. King & Maxwell will focus on a pair of former Secret Service agents who become private investigators.
Mad Men and Desperate Housewives alum Mark Moses will appear on Blue Bloods, TV Guide reports. Moses will play a bigoted talk radio host who challenges the police's commitment to protecting the first amendment.

These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question and answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures?

Model and actor Trevor Donovan is most widely known as his character Teddy Montgomery from 90210. Jennifer Love Hewitt will get to know him. She is about to land the hottie on her table; her massage table, that is. I’m not sure which of the pair is luckier!
We are referring, of course, to Hewitt’s Lifetime channel series, The Client List. Donovan has lined up a guest appearance, as was reported by Zap2it.
Actually, 90210 fans were probably breathing a sigh of relief to see Donovan’s character back in action after he was missing in action for quite some time on the youthful series. Now they’ll get a double dose of Donovan if they tune into The Client List.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is on the move! A Toluca Lake, Calif., home that reportedly belonged to The Client List star sold for $2.15 million dollars on Dec. 13, E! News confirms. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home is nearly 6,000 square feet. It's described as a "gated, gracious, inviting celebrity owned traditional home with a wonderful flow for living and entertaining." It's always nice to see a house sell for more than the owner paid for it, and such is the happy story of "The Client List" actress Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Hewitt closed a $2.15 million deal on her Toluca Lake, Calif. home Thursday -- $745,000 less than her original asking price but still almost half-a-million dollars more than what she paid for the property in 1998.
The 1952 home spans almost 6,000 square feet, boasts six bedrooms and bathrooms and is on one of Toluca Lake's "most desirable streets," notes the listing. New owners will also enjoy the spacious patio with pool and spa, as well as a private dance studio. But based on the listing photos, the traditional-style home is in sore need of a makeover. Unless, of course, the new owners take a liking to pastel pink wallpaper, marble molding and taupe carpets.

Lifetime and "The Client List" star Jennifer Love Hewitt are working together on an update of Jane Austen's beloved novel "Pride and Prejudice."
Hewitt is an executive producer on the project, which moves the setting of Austen's novel from 19th-century England to present-day small-town Virginia, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It's called "Darcy's Town."
Sheryl Anderson ("Charmed") is writing the pilot, which will presumably center on the relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. How Anderson and Hewitt will stretch the beats of their relationship over an ongoing series remains to be seen.
Hewitt's production company, Fedora Films, has a first-look deal with Lifetime. The cable channel is also developing an adaptation of Hewitt's book "The Day I Shot Cupid." Season 2 of "The Client List," meanwhile, is set to premiere next year.

Move over Colin Firth, Lifetime is reportedly looking at adapting a modern-day version of "Pride and Prejudice" for the small screen, to be produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hewitt and Lifetime are joining forces for "Darcy's Town," which will take place in a small Virginia town in the present day.
