The 2010 Ukrainian Cup Final was a football match that was played place at the Metalist Stadium, Kharkiv on May 16, 2010. The match was the 19th Ukrainian Cup Final and was contested by FC Metalurh Donetsk and FC Tavriya Simferopol. The 2010 Ukrainian Cup Final was the second time a Ukrainian Cup Final was held in Kharkiv.[1] The Ukrainian Cup winners qualified for the Europa League play-off round. Tavriya played in their 2nd Cup Final after last appearing in the 1994 Final losing to Chornomorets Odessa on penalty kicks 5–3 after the score was tied 0–0 after extra time. Metalurh Donetsk played in their first Cup Final.

All sixteen Ukrainian Premier League clubs do not have to go through qualification to get into the competition, so Tavriya and Metalurh both qualified for the competition automatically.

Previous Encounters

Tavriya had met Metalurh Donetsk previously in the Ukrainian Cup competition in the Quarter-Final of the 2003–04 season. In that game Tavriya advanced on penalty kicks 10–9 after the score was tied 1–1 after extra time.
