al-Qahtani is a surname (also spelled Al Qahtani, or Qahtani) Qahtani, relative to Qahtan. Qahtan tribe located in the southwest of the Arabian Peninsula, and specifically in the areas of Asir in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, and spread Qahtan tribe in Najd in central Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and Kuwait.
