Gold medal – first place 1920 Antwerp Eights

Alden Reamer "Zeke" Sanborn (May 22, 1899 in Jefferson, Wisconsin[1] – December 1, 1991) was an American rower who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. He won a gold medal in men's coxed eights.

Biography

Sanborn attended Beloit College and the United States Naval Academy, where after graduating in 1922, he served in the United States Navy until 1951, retiring as a captain. Later, he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He died on December 1, 1991 in Charlotte Hall, Maryland.

In 1920 he was part of the American boat from the United States Naval Academy, which won the gold medal in the eights.
