Amanda Kramer is an American singer, songwriter, and composer.
Kramer's music career spans more than 20 years. She came to prominence in the late 1980s as keyboardist and drummer of the new wave band Information Society. She soon left the band claiming personal issues (i.e. heroin addiction[1]). She then joined the musical collective, The Golden Palominos, beginning with 1989's A Dead Horse, as a featured vocalist. She then appeared on some 10,000 Maniacs albums as a guest artist, most prominently on their MTV Unplugged album. In 1993, she met Karl Wallinger and joined World Party. She has also toured with Lloyd Cole, Julee Cruise and Siouxsie Sioux, among others. While in London, she has also composed music for the television series "Lonely Planet", later renamed Pilot Guide and Globe Trekker.
In 2003, Kramer joined the rock group The Psychedelic Furs and is still a member of that group. She currently resides in London, England.
