The gallery displays both student work and work of local artists and designers. Gallery openings occur monthly on First Thursday, a Pearl District evening of art shows. The school participates in Portland Fashion Week, and produces its own show of graduate work each year.

The school is s part of The Art Institutes, owned by Education Management Corporation (EDMC), a private for-profit corporation headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
