Boaventura Silva Cardoso (born 26 July 1944) is an Angolan politician as well as noted author. He has been the Minister of Culture since December 2002.

Boaventura Silva Cardoso, was born in Luanda on 26 July 1944 . He lived most of his childhood in Malanje, moving to Luanda to their primary and secondary schooling . He obtained a degree in Social Sciences School of the MPLA - PT and has a degree in Social Sciences from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquino1 .

In the colonial period, was an official of the Finance and Accounting Services . After independence he held various positions as Director of the National Institute of Book and Disk ( INALD ), Secretary of State for Culture, Information Minister, Ambassador of Angola in France, Italy and Malta, representative of Angola to the United Nations ( FAO, WFP and IFAD ) and eight years ( 2002-2010 ) Minister of Culture is currently ( 2010-2012 ) Boaventura Cardoso serves as governor of the province of Malanje . 1.

In 1967 he began writing publishing several short stories and poems in newspapers and magazines Luanda . Was a member of the journal's Editorial Angola 's African National League and is a founding member of the Union of Writers Angolanos1 .

Angolan writer and poet, he lived his early years in Malanje, then went to the city of Luanda . After completing primary and secondary studies he went on to study undergraduate degree in social sciences. The Angolan writer Boaventura Cardoso da Silva, will be honored Monday, the Academy of Letters of the State of Tocantins, the Federative Republic of Brazil, at the launch of his recent literary works .
