C.I.D. (Telugu: సి.ఐ.డి.) is a 1965 Telugu Drama film directed by Tapi Chanakya and produced by Vijaya Pictures.
Nataratna N. T. Rama Rao portrayed the C.I.D. Ravi character effectively. The film is the remake of MGR 's tamil blockbuster hit DHEIVA THAAI. There are some melodious songs by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao.
The plot
The story is about C.I.D. Ravi (NTR). His father Chalapathi (Gummadi) was a gambler. While playing cards one night he confronts a thief. During the fight, he dies suddenly. The crime falls on him. He runs away to escape police and becomes an underground don Baba. His wife Parvathi (Pandari Bai) joins in a hospital as nurse and educates their only son Ravi. Ravi from Bombay comes to Hyderabad to investigate the case of Baba. Baba one day comes to know that C.I.D. Ravi is his son. How Ravi solves the case and proves his father as innocent is the whole story.
