Chase This Light is the sixth studio album by American alternative rock band Jimmy Eat World, released on October 16, 2007 through Interscope. The album was executive produced by Butch Vig.

Track information

The song "Carry You" originated as a track from Jim Adkins' side project Go Big Casino.[12][13] Jimmy Eat World has recorded other Go Big Casino songs previously like "Hear You Me", "My Sundown", and "Drugs or Me".[14]

"Big Casino", the first single from the album, was released August 28, 2007 for download.[15] The music video was released on October 24.[16] "Always Be" began airing on various radio channels on December 3, 2007, and the music video was released on January 29, 2008.[17]

Release

Album artwork was released on August 29, 2007.[18] Chase This Light was released on October 16, 2007 by Interscope.[18]

The album debuted at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling approximately 62,000 copies in its first week.[19] It also sold 78,000 worldwide. As of July 2008, the album has sold approximately 320,000 copies worldwide, and, as of September 2010, the album has sold 225,000 copies in the United States (US).
