The Chinese francolin (Francolinus pintadeanus) or Burmeese francolin is a species of bird in the Phasianidae family.
Description
On average, the length of the bird is 30–34 cm (12–13 in) and it weighs 280–400 g (9.9–14.1 oz). Females are slightly smaller than males.[2]
Distribution and habitat
It is found in Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Introduced to Mauritius, the Philippines, Madagascar, United States, Chile and Argentina.[3] Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
