Coseley railway station is located in the Coseley area of the borough of Dudley, West Midlands, England. It is situated on the Rugby-Birmingham-Stafford branch of the West Coast Main Line. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by London Midland.

History

The present Coseley station opened in 1902. It replaced an earlier station, named Deepfields and Coseley, which opened in 1852 and was situated 400 yards along the track.

Services

Coseley is typically served by three trains per hour each way.

Two of these are local services calling at all stations between Wolverhampton and Walsall, via Birmingham New Street operated by London Midland. These services are operated by Class 323 / Class 350 Electric Multiple Units.

One is a longer distance London Midland service, to or from Liverpool Lime Street. The southbound service then heads straight into Birmingham New Street. The northbound service calls at Wolverhampton and stations onto Liverpool Lime Street. This service is operated by Desiro Class 350 units, which use overhead power.
