Darren Comeaux (born April 15, 1960 in San Diego, California) is a former professional American football linebacker for the Denver Broncos (1982–86), San Francisco 49ers (1987) and Seattle Seahawks (1988–91) of the NFL.

He helped the Broncos win the 1984 AFC West Division and the 1986 AFC Championship, the 49ers win the 1987 NFC West Division and the Seahawks the 1988 AFC West Division.

Darren Comeaux grew up in California playing basketball and running track didn't start playing football until he was in high school. He started out playing Tackle and was the biggest on the team. Once Darren was out of high school he went to Mesa Community college in Arizona and kept playing football. Darren was small when he was at college weighing only 195 pounds, this is the main reason scouts weren't looking at him. He played his 2 years and moved on to Arizona State University and played Linebacker. When he was a senior he got his weight up to 215 pounds but pro scouts thought that he still wasn't big enough. Being unwanted out of high school and college he was determined to keep playing football. He was released 4 times from the NFL but didn't quit on his dream. Because of his hard work he ended up on the Broncos in 1982 and played 10 years in the NFL. While on the Broncos he went to the Super Bowl but lost to the Gaints 39-20. When he was on the San Francisco 49ers he suffered a knee injury which left him on injury reserve. He was taken by the Seattle Seahawks in 1988 and replaced Brian Bosworth when he had a shoulder injury as middle linebacker. He finished his NFL career with no choice but to retire with and knee injury in 1991. In 10 seasons he had over 100 tackles, 3½ sacks and 3 interceptions for 23 yards. He even returned 1 kickoff for 9 yards.
