The Decatur Subdivision was a railroad line owned and operated by CSX Transportation in the U.S. states of Indiana and Illinois. The line ran from Montezuma, Indiana, west to Decatur, Illinois,[1] along a former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad line. The east end of the line was near a junction with the CE&D Subdivision; at Chrisman, Illinois, it intersected the Danville Secondary Subdivision.

History

The Decatur Subdivision was built in the 1890s as part of the Indianapolis, Indiana, to Decatur, Illinois, Indiana, Decatur and Western Railroad.[citation needed] Through leases and mergers, it became part of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and CSX.
