Dina Meyer (born December 22, 1968) is an American film and television actress who played Barbara Gordon in Birds of Prey, Dizzy Flores in Starship Troopers, and Detective Allison Kerry in the Saw films. She portrayed Mrs. Hong as a recurring guest star on ABC's Scoundrels.

Personal life

Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last year of junior high school. Her first experience in the entertainment industry came when she did some modeling from ages nine to 16. She always wanted to become an actress but her parents did not think that was a wise career move; they wanted her to get a good education, so she went to Long Island University, graduating in 1990 with a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in French.

She has two brothers, one older named Gregory and one younger named Evan.

Career

Meyer relocated to Los Angeles in 1993 in order to recur on the TV series, Beverly Hills, 90210. She was shortly thereafter cast as the female lead in Johnny Mnemonic and Dragonheart. In television, she has had series regular roles on UPN's Secret Agent Man , and Fox’s Point Pleasant and Birds of Prey.

Meyer has made several guest appearances on Friends, Six Feet Under, and Ally McBeal. Her additional guest star roles include Criminal Minds, Castle, The Mentalist, Burn Notice, and Nip/Tuck. She has also recurred on FOX's Miss Match, ABC's Scoundrels, CW’s 90210, CBS's, CSI, and NCIS.

Meyer recently starred in Universal Films, Dead in Tombstone , opposite of Mickey Rourke; and played opposite Patrick Warburton and Jesse Bradford in the acclaimed web series, Sequestered. A Lifetime Television veteran, she stars in Lethal Seduction as the sexy, psychotic cougar who will stop at nothing to get her boy. It is currently airing on Lifetime TV.

Her new Project is Fishes 'n Loaves: Heaven Sent.

Meyer resides in Los Angeles.
