Dr. Dimensionpants is a Canadian animated television series created by Brad Peyton and produced by DHX Media/Vancouver and The Factory Backwards Entertainment.[1] Originally set to launch in the winter of 2014 on Teletoon,[2] the series instead premiered on November 6, 2014, as well as on Télétoon.[3]
Contents
Plot
Kyle Lipton was a normal 12-year-old kid, until an portal opened and dropped a pair of "The Dimensionpants". When he wears them, he becomes a superhero called Dr. Dimensionpants. Now Kyle has all the superhero powers he ever wanted, along with responsibility. With the help of a talking unicorn named Philip, Dr. Dimensionpants learns his powers to save the dimensions, while dealing with normal kid issues.
Characters
- Kyle Lipton/Dr. Dimensionpants: (voiced by Samuel Vincent) A 12-year-old boy whose secret identity is Dr. Dimensionpants.
- Philip: (voiced by Richard Ian Cox) Dr. Dimensionpants' sidekick who's a unicorn.
- The Cortex: (voiced by Ian James Corlett) A nemesis with hydrocephalia and a stickler for people calling him The Cortex. The Cortex seeks to steal the Dimension pants so he can become all powerful.
- Glass Skull: (voiced by Brian Drummond) A nemesis whom, as his name suggests, has a glass skull. He has a daughter named Rebecca and desires the Dimension Pants like The Cortex.
- Amanda Lipton: (voiced by Kazumi Evans) Kyle's young sister who is a genius and has a blog on the web.
Broadcast
Dr. Dimensionpants first premiered on Cartoon Network international channels in Poland on October 20,[4] in Germany,[5] the Benelux on October 27, 2014[6] and Latin America on June 3, 2015.[7][8] The series has been sold to ABC in Australia.[9] It premiered on Hulu on June 13, 2015 in the US.[10]
