Eanna or the Temple of Eanna was an ancient Sumerian temple "the residence of Ishtar" and Anu mentioned several times in the Epic of Gilgamesh, and elsewhere.[1] The evolution of the gods to whom the temple was dedicated is the subject of scholarly study.[1]
