GE Global Research is the research and development division of General Electric.[1] GE Global Research's primary facility is located in Niskayuna, New York. The Advanced Manufacturing and Software Technology Center (AMSTC) is a satellite facility located in Van Buren, Michigan.[2] GE Software, located in San Ramon (California), was started in 2011 to act as a "nerve center" for software development within the company.[3] Outside the USA, GE Global Research includes laboratories in Bangalore (India), Shanghai (China), Munich (Germany), and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
