Gardner Minshew II (born c. 1996) is an American football quarterback for the Washington State Cougars.
Minshew began his college football career in 2015 at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He led the team to the NJCAA National Football Championship, passing for 3,228 yards with a 60.8% completion percentage.[1]
Minshew transferred to East Carolina University in 2016. He was East Carolina's starting quarterback in 2017 and received his bachelor's degree in December 2017.[1]
Minshew enrolled as a graduate student at Washington State in the fall of 2018. He became immediately eligible under the NCAA's graduate transfer rules. In his third game as the school's starting quarterback, he passed for a career-high 470 yards and a 78.9% completion rate in a 59-24 victory over Eastern Washington. Through the first half of the 2018 season, he led all NCAA Division I FBS quarterbacks with 2,422 passing yards.[2]
