Hammerton railway station serves the villages of Kirk Hammerton and Green Hammerton in North Yorkshire, England. It is located on the Harrogate Line 8.75 miles (14 km) west of York and is operated by Northern Rail who provide all passenger train services to this station.

Handing over the single line token for the section between Hammerton and Poppleton

Generally there is an hourly service to York eastbound and Leeds via Harrogate westbound. The service from York is timed to arrive before the one from Harrogate. This allows for exchange of the token for the single line block between Hammerton & Poppleton (see image)
