Ishasha is a town in the Kanungu District in the Western Region of Uganda.
Location
Ishasha is approximately 430 kilometres (270 mi), by road, southwest of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.[1] it is on the international border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The coordinates of Ishasha are 0°44'24.0"S, 29°37'49.0"E (Latitude:-0.7400, Longitude:29.6303).[2]
Overview
Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Ishasha is close to the southwestern tip of Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), the most visited national park in Uganda. The topography in this area of QENP is significantly different from the other areas of the park. The "Ishasha Sector" of QENP is home to tree-climbing lions. The males of these lions sport manes that are black, a unique feature.
